Overview
Hyaluronic Dermal filler made up of gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to bring back youthfulness, smoothening facial creases, restoring lost volume, and contouring.The hyaluronic dermal fillers work on lines around the nose and mouth (marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses). They also restore volume and enhance the cheek or temple area while eliminating vertical lip lines, plumping the lips, and enhancing symmetry of facial features (facial contouring).
PROCESS OF HYALURONIC DERMAL FILLER
- 1. A detailed consultation is done by our doctors who assess concerns, expectations and indicate treatment areas
- 2. A local anesthetic cream is applied on the areas to be treated and left for 30-45 minutes. The area is then cleansed.
- 3. Essential markings indicating the treatment area are done by the doctor, after which the filler (product) is injected in the areas marked. The treated areas are then cleansed, and an ointment is applied.
THINGS TO REMEMBER FOR DERMAL FILLER
BEFORE
Do not consume alcohol at all for two days straight before hyaluronic dermal filler treatment as it tends to thin blood which makes a bruise more likely to occur. Also avoid any anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications two weeks prior to treatment. Consult with your physician on this if it would be possible. Have a good meal before the procedure so that you are less likely to feel lightheaded.
AFTER
Don’t rub or massage the hyaluronic dermal filler treated areas for the next 24 hours. Do not steam, sauna, or do any kind of facial for at least fifteen days. Avoid any kind of strenuous or vigorous activities for the next 72 hours. Do not expose oneself to the sun or any form of heating for the next 72 hours. Try to keep the face up and at a slight elevation if there is swelling.
SIDE EFFECTS
Bruising, swelling, and pain may be experienced post-procedure, which is temporary and will subside over the days following the treatment
NOT RECOMMENDED
You are pregnant or breastfeeding. You have the tendency to bruise easily. You are suffering from a sinus infection, it is best to hold off on getting hyaluronic dermal fillers as any infection in the facial area can spread to the treated site.
